Axl Rose foi anunciado oficialmente pelos AC/DC como substituto de Brian Johnson, aconselhado pelos seus médicos a parar. Para muitos fãs será uma desilusão, foi no entanto a forma que a banda encontrou para não interromper a tour que já no próximo mês de Maio vem para a Europa, com passagem também por Portugal no dia 7 de Maio, concerto promovido pela Everything is New.

“AC/DC band members would like to thank Brian Johnson for his contributions and dedication to the band throughout the years. We wish him all the best with his hearing issues and future ventures. As much as we want this tour to end as it started, we understand, respect and support Brian’s decision to stop touring and save his hearing. We are dedicated to fulfilling the remainder of our touring commitments to everyone that has supported us over the years, and are fortunate that Axl Rose has kindly offered his support to help us fulfill this commitment.”
A tour europeia inicia a 7 de Maio em Lisboa, e terminará a 12 de Junho em Aarhus na Dinamarca. Os concertos norte-americanos que foram forçosamente adiados devido ao conhecido estado de saúde do carismático vocalista serão reagendados, também com Axl Rose na voz.
